No, Draven is not my real name. As most of you may know my under the alias of Precious, or Morte D'Amour. Others know me as Amanda, or 'Manda. It has been part of my life's dream, and work to create the Sanguine Veil; or City of Sanguine into a vastly detailed RPG, and eventually down the line, a series of novels and video games. Perhaps one day it may even be turned into an epic movie. Who knows what the future holds in store.
The concept of the Bloodlines and the Sanguine Veil came about quite a few years ago while I was sitting around listening to music that I can't even being to remember what it had been. Anyway, I began rummaging through some books that I have on Vampires and began brainstorming. Out popped the six Bloodlines. The rest followed slowly and over the years grew into a larger concept.
I, however, could not have progressed the RPG as far as it has gotten today without the help of James; whom has played the role of Dasani for various years, or without the help of our friend Jase who threw in some interesting plot points. I thank you both, gentlemen, from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for our world, our City of Sanguine.
As for my inspiration behind the City of Sanguine, well there is a vast majority of things that I could list, but I do not want to bore you. Some of you may think that this sounds vaguely like the White Wolf Vampire: The Masquerade Roleplaying Game, and in a manner, I did get my inspiration from it. I have read some of the books on each clan of Vampire and was intrigued. I have a large collection of Vampire books and moves {call Vampires my obsession}, and I pretty much put together a bit of every legend or version of Vampire I read about and molded it into my own.
The City of Sanguine RPG has been on a few other forums before this one, but alas, it never stuck. I don't know if people lost interest in the RPG or what, but I did not give up on her just yet! I don't think I could even if I wanted to.
My first forum, Perpetual Insanity had the best cast that I had the liberty of working with. I miss them all very much, especially when the entire forum crashed. I lost all my material. :/
Carpe Noctem was lost, but that was because my computer crashed. v.v Not something I could help.
The Blood Chronicles. I have fixed it! Thankfully! I had missed the original and most recent forum dedicated to the Sanguine Veil RPG. If you notice; in the Archives, I still have saved all the old material, the old Roleplay's that had been left over. You may view them if you'd like just to get an idea of what exactly James and I had done in creating this world. I may have came up with the original concept of the RPG, but he helped bringing it to life, so therefore, he gets half of the credit for its creation. ^_^
I do, however, hope to meet a new cast of people who are just as passionate about this RPG as I am.
Oh, by the way, if you want to call me Draven, then by all means go ahead. I'm so used to being called that now, that it's like it actually is my real name. LOL!
