Please excuse the dust, we've been here for quite some time; although unknown to most of you. Don't mind the cobwebs. The spiders don't eat much.
What is Sanguine, you ask? Well, Sanguine is a lavish city roughly the size, if not larger than the state of Texas. It's modern structure and layout is home to many Vampires, Lycanthropes, Humans, and other Preternatural creatures that co-exist beside one another. The Humans are unaware that the Supernatural exist among them, save for the Revanants; a sect of Humans who know about the Preternatural, and help keep their secrets.
What lies in the City of Sanguine you ask? The Supernatural, of course. Vampires mostly. However, Vampires who walk this Earth are vastly different from what folklores and legends have led us to believe. They do not need to kill in order to sustain their energy, but they can not survive on Mortal food. They must consume blood. Sunlight does not cause physical harm, but it can be quite uncomftorable, and so many try to avoid prolonged exposure at all costs. The only sure way to kill a Vampire would be to either severe the head, or remove the heart completely.
Blood Banks are used for medical purposes as well as a source of food for those Vampires who refuse to feed from Humans directly. Some night clubs and private dens throughout the City of Sanguine harbor willing donors. These willing donors called Revanants learned of the existance of Vampires and help keep their secret.
